The World Press Photo House is home for the stories that matter. Due to COVID-19 our house is currently closed and we were forced to cancel our annual festival, which was set to take place on 17-18 April. We would like to share with you some things of what we had in mind for the festival in an online program, in collaboration with Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. Moderated by Lars Boering, Managing Director of World Press Photo, we will guide you through a diverse and rich program, focusing on worldwide protests – a theme highlighted by the 2020 World Press Photo contests winners.
The World Press Photo House is the home for the stories that matter and located at Westergas in Amsterdam. With year-round programs of high quality visual stories on topics that impact our lives, the house is the World Press Photo Foundation’s new cultural venue in Amsterdam and the location of the PhotoQ Bookshop.

About The World Press Photo Foundation
The World Press Photo Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organization, based at World Press Photo House, at Westergas, Amsterdam.
We are a global platform connecting professionals and audiences through trustworthy visual journalism and storytelling, founded in 1955 when a group of Dutch photographers organized a contest (“World Press Photo”) to expose their work to an international audience. Since then the contest has grown into the world’s most prestigious photography competition, and through our worldwide exhibitions and programs, we present to millions of people the stories that matter.
The World Press Photo House has been made possible by the Dutch Postcode Lottery and we appreciate the support of our partners Aegon and PwC.
